Happy Birthday, JaydenI had had 2 extreme feelings in the short period of 2 hours yesterday. My sister, Sandy, had a check-up session with her gynae on Friday. The check-up was supposed to confirm if Baby Jayden will be born prematurely as he is too small for a baby of 32 weeks. At around noon, she called and informed that the doc is going to admit her into the hospital cos' her BP is way too high and Baby Jayden's heartbeat is weak. The admission is for the doc to monitor her BP for the next few days. She will be able to discharge if the BP goes down and stay normal or she will have to stay in the hospital until she delivers which will be 2 -3 weeks later. After visiting her in the evening, I went to my cousin's place and play mj till morning. By the time I reached home to sleep, it was 7am. My plan was to sleep for abt 5 hours then go visit my sister again but fate was not to be so. I was woken up by my mum at 9:15am (2 hours after I knock out). She told me that my brother-in-law called and informed that my sister was being pushed into the labour ward and doc will be giving her the C-section to bring Baby Jayden out. It took me a while for the information to be registered into my mind. When I finally realized what is happening, I felt fear in me. My sister is only 8 months pregnant. Baby Jayden's heartbeat is weak and a bit small for a 32 weeks baby. All these information are not putting me at ease and in a positive spirit. My mum and I were the first to arrive at the hospital. My sister was already in the operating theatre. At 10:35am, I received a call from my brother-in-law. My sister had given birth. Baby Jayden was born at 10:01am at 1.230kg. He is a prematured baby so he will have to stay in the incubator till he is 2kg which is estimated about 3 weeks later. The best news came when my brother-in-law said that the doc informed that both mother and child are safe and healthy. Everyone was so relieved and happy to hear that both mum and baby are safe and healthy. After all the roller-coaster rides that we had been through, this was the best ending that we can have. For now, I just wished that Baby Jayden's weight will increase to 2kg soon cos' everyone is waiting to see him. Before I end this post, I want to say a few thank you... 1) Thank you to my Ah Khim's familiy for rushing down the moment they heard that Sandy was to carry out C-section. The moral and mental support that they gave by doing that is tremendous. Whenever I feel lost, I know for sure I can turn to them for help. Thank you, gals (Ah Khim, Diana, Nicole, Doreen & Eve)... 2) Thank you to the Gods above for answering my prayers. For the GODs here, I meant Zai-Zai and Jesus (Catholic). When it comes to religion, I am still a lost soul... :P For reasons, I believe in Zai-Zai and I also believe the Lord. I am very thankful to have my prayers answered. Thank you.

A Weekend Filled With Sun, Sand and SeaThis post should be done up days ago but I am just too lazy to get my a** off whatever it's on to type it out.. :PLast weekend was one filled with a lot of sun, sand and sea. Our big family had a picnic at East Coast Park. We prepared quite a bit of food. Curry, fried beehoon and some finger food complimentary from my mum. Egg mayo, luncheon meat and fried egg sandwiches from Diana and Nicole. Sotong balls, nuggets and more finger food from Alvin's girlfriend. All theses were ferried to East Coast Park in 4 cars. By the time we reached there, it's about 2pm already. Once we reached, we started with the lunch first. After one round of munchies, we went for cycling. It is actually quite cheap. One hour for one hour and I only paid $6 for the bike. After the biking session, everyone got hungry again and it's back to more mum mum... Went to the arcade after that and we had quite some fun at the arcade where we used to frequent when we were younger. Diana spent a lot of money there... so much that she was nagged at by lots of people after that.. Hahaha... On Sunday, we went to Fort Siloso beach for my uncle's company's family day. It was a very hot that day. The sun was drilling though my skin but I was happy cos' I was finding an opportunity to even out the tan on my arms. Went to soak in the sea with my bro and cousins. It has been a while since we do that so it was actually great fun. After spending like 2 hours in the sea, we came out of it feeling totally exhausted. I sort of got the tan that I want. Hahaha... Hope to have more opportunities of such in future.. Wanted to take some photos to put them up but clean forgotten about it... I will try to remember next time, k? : )
